When we put out the call for PepsiCo10 submissions in June, we were overwhelmed by the response from tech and media start-ups. Of the nearly 500 entrepreneurs who applied, 20 of those joined us at PepsiCo Headquarters for a two-day summit to pitch their ideas to the PepsiCo team and our partners. The creativity and enthusiasm were abundant.
Today we are pleased to announce the selection of our PepsiCo10, whose start-up ideas represent the best in place-based and retail experiential marketing, mobile marketing, social media and marketing, and digital video and gaming.
The companies we selected will have the opportunity to execute pilot programs with our brands. Target consumers of Gatorade, Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Quaker Chewy granola bars and Pepsi beverages in restaurants will start to see some of these pilot programs as soon as the fourth quarter of this year.
