
Andrea Alvares
Andrea Alvares is currently the General Manager for the Beverages division in Brasil which includes responsibility for brands Pepsi, H2OH, Toddynho, Kero Coco, Lipton and Gatorade. Her previous assignment included responsibility for the strategy and marketing direction for South America encompassing all beverage categories and brands, Innovation stewardship and specific responsibility for Marketing Brazil. Before that she was head of marketing for the beverage business in the Argentina MU (including also Uruguay /Paraguay). She joined Pepsico in mid 2000 in the snacks division in Brazil and in 2003, moved on to be head of marketing for the Quaker operation in Brazil. Prior to joining Pepsico, Andrea spent 7 years at Procter & Gamble in Brazil having worked in diverse categories such as feminine protection, hair & beauty care and OTC. Andrea holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, during her career, has participated in formal training and coached people in the areas of effective work teams, project management, corporate finance, concept development, leadership and strategy seminars. Andrea was a volunteer counselor for Endeavor Brazil prior to moving to Argentina. Board Member and Business Affairs Committee member for AmCham.
