Luis Montoya
Luis Montoya is currently the President of the Latin America Beverages Division of PepsiCo Americas Beverages. Mr. Montoya is in charge of PepsiCo's total beverage business and all related disciplines in Latin America and is accountable for the division's strategic direction and financial performance. He has been in this position since 2007.
Previously, Mr. Montoya was the Business Unit General Manager for Northern Latin American Beverages (Nola), which includes all of the Caribbean, Central American and part of South America including Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Ecuador and Bolivia.
Mr. Montoya is an 18-year PepsiCo veteran with extensive experience in different Latin American beverage markets. Mr. Montoya started his career in 1991 as Market Manager for Peru and Ecuador. He was then promoted to General Manager for Central America based in Guatemala City. Two years later, he moved to Mexico as Franchise Vice President. In 2000 he assumed the responsibility for Central American and the Caribbean, and was subsequently promoted to his role for Nola.
Prior to joining PepsiCo, Mr. Montoya worked for Procter & Gamble in Peru for five years in different marketing positions.
He holds an Industrial Engineering degree from the Universidad Católica del Peru and a Master of Business Administration from the Krannert School at Purdue University. Mr. Montoya also serves in the Board of Directors of the Pepsi Cola Venezuela joint venture. He has participated in several PepsiCo International-wide task forces and has been involved in developing Franchise capability since 1997.
Mr. Montoya is based in Lima, Peru.
