On August 3, young people hailing from around the world descended on New York City to attend the 9th Annual UN Youth Assembly. In support of this event, I am filled with pride and excitement that PepsiCo is supporting 15 Arab Youth leaders to take part in what is now known as the ‘PepsiCo Arab Youth Delegation’. Our delegation consists of youth leaders from the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia and Algeria. Yesterday, we had the honor and pleasure of hosting in Purchase nearly 100 United Nations Youth Ambassadors from around the world in advance of the United Nations Youth Assembly (UNYA). The UNYA is a conference that begins today at UN headquarters in New York City that brings 600 young leaders from around the globe together to discuss progress against the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
